"Bohemia" - Arts & Farmers Market

Canterbury’s new arts & food market arrives August bank holiday weekend!

This coming bank holiday weekend finally sees the unveiling of Canterbury’s exciting new arts and farmers market “Bohemia”. On Saturday 23rd August, The King’s Mile will host the first of regularly held markets, bringing locally sourced produce, arts and crafts to the city centre streets of Canterbury.

If you haven’t ventured to this part of the city before then you really have missed out! These charming historical streets have a lot to offer. Not only will the market bring some vibrant and fresh flavours to the area, it will give the city centre a long overdue place to buy locally produced food and arts.

The market will stretch the entire length of The King’s Mile, from Guildhall Street down to the end of Palace Street. Come and savour some of the many great items on offer and also, don’t forget to visit some of the many shops, cafés and bars lining the streets that offer some great alternatives to high street stores - check out some of the featured shops displayed here on the right hand panel.

If you don’t make it to the market this weekend, don’t worry. Regular markets will be held every fourth Saturday of every month, giving you the opportunity to come along and revisit your favourite stalls and shops.
